Wampler Moxie Overdrive Pedal
The Wampler Moxie is a versatile, warm, and dynamic overdrive inspired by the classic Tube Screamer-style circuit, with added flexibility and extra bite. Designed by Brian Wampler, the Moxie can cover everything from a subtle boost and gritty rhythm drive to pushing an amp into thick, high-gain overdrive.
At its core, the Moxie uses a classic 4558 chip for its characteristically rich, organic response. It’s highly responsive to picking dynamics and works well with a wide range of amplifiers and other pedals, making it a great choice for everything from Texas blues and classic rock to heavier, high-gain applications.
Two additional tone-shaping switches set the Moxie apart:

Voice Switch: Reworks the EQ to add bass and treble while reducing the pronounced midrange emphasis associated with traditional Tube Screamer-style circuits. The result is a more open, transparent, and full-bodied overdrive.

Fat Switch: Adds a custom MOSFET clipping stage for increased gain, compression, and harmonic texture while maintaining a clear and organic feel.
The Moxie also makes an excellent stacking pedal. Pair it with other overdrives or distortions to tighten up an amp, add gain and sustain, or create a wide range of layered tones.
