Universal Audio 1176 Studio Limiter/Compressor Pedal

Bring one of the most iconic compressor sounds in recording history to your pedalboard with the Universal Audio 1176 Studio Compressor. Inspired by the legendary 1176 Limiting Amplifier introduced in 1967, this compact UAFX pedal delivers classic punch, sustain, and expressive dynamic control in a pedalboard-friendly design.

Featuring three legendary 1176-inspired configurations, the pedal offers everything from subtle, transparent compression to thick, sustained tones and aggressive, heavily compressed sounds. Whether you're chasing vintage ’70s slide tones, crisp country chicken pickin’, funky clean rhythms, or powerful classic rock textures, the 1176 provides versatile compression for a wide range of playing styles.

Simple Attack and Release controls, continuously variable Ratio settings, and the iconic “All Buttons In” mode give you extensive control over your dynamics and tone. A parallel compression mode adds further flexibility, while switchable true or buffered bypass makes it easy to integrate into your existing signal chain.
