12 Unique Delay Machines
Digital Delay
A crystal-clear digital delay with extensive tonal shaping. Filter, Grit, Smear, High Pass, and Modulation controls allow you to create everything from pristine repeats to more heavily voiced and textured digital sounds. A nonlinear mode provides faster-decaying repeats while maintaining a natural feel.
Dual Delay
Two independent delay lines can operate in series or parallel, including right/left configurations. The second delay has independent Mix, Repeat, and Time controls and can also track the first delay's settings.
Pattern Delay
Create rhythmic, ambient, and percussive multi-tap delay patterns. Filter, Grit, and Modulation controls provide extensive possibilities for shaping the overall effect.
Reverse Delay
Play normally while the repeats play backward. Predictable and repeatable reverse effects can be further refined with Smear, which softens the attack of the reversed repeats while retaining full frequency response.
Ice Delay
Slices incoming audio into pieces and shifts them by selectable intervals ranging from one octave down to two octaves up. Blend the effect from subtle to completely processed and adjust Slice Size for different shifted textures.
Duck Delay
A dynamic ducking delay with adjustable Sensitivity and Release Time. A switchable Feedback Duck function provides additional control over how the repeats respond to your playing.
Swell Delay
Creates gradually rising delay effects with variable swell time. Match the swell to the delay time, turn the Mix fully wet, and increase the repeats for expansive ambient textures. Rise Time and Smear provide additional control over the character of the effect.
Trem Delay
Combines delay with synchronized tremolo. Waveshape, Depth, and Speed controls let you shape the modulation, with selectable triangle, square, sine, ramp, and saw waveforms.
Filter Delay
Adds a synchronized filter that can be positioned before or after the delay. Adjustable Waveshape, Depth, Speed, Resonance, and Filter Location controls provide a huge range of rhythmic and tonal possibilities, including random, upward, and downward modulation patterns.
Lo-Fi Delay
Intentionally degrade the signal with adjustable Bit Depth and Sample Rate. Blend the lo-fi processing with the full-resolution signal and choose from handcrafted filter characters inspired by transistor radios, telephones, phonograph horns, and other vintage audio sources.
The exclusive dVinyl effect adds record-style noise, including scratch, dust, and dirt textures.
dTape Delay
A detailed recreation of classic sliding-head tape echo machines. Extensive controls let you shape Tape Age, Wow & Flutter, Tape Crinkle, Tape Bias, Low End Contour, and Tape Speed for everything from pristine vintage-style echoes to heavily worn and unstable tape effects.
dBucket Delay
A nuanced recreation of analog bucket-brigade delay technology. Select between two delay-time ranges for single- or multiple-chip-style behavior, then shape the effect with Strymon's exclusive Bucket Loss control, Filter, and Modulation controls.
Built for Endless Sound Design
TimeLine combines an extensive collection of delay technologies with deep control over sonic character. Whether you need clean rhythmic repeats, vintage tape echoes, analog-style modulation, reverse effects, pitch-shifted ambience, lo-fi textures, or experimental sound design, TimeLine provides the tools to build and save your own signature sounds.
