Gibson SG Standard '61 in Classic White
The SG Standard '61 returns to the classic design that has shaped sound across generations and genres of music. It features a solid mahogany body with the classic double-cutaway SG shape, complete with iconic deeply sculpted body scarfing and double horns. The mahogany neck has a fast-playing SlimTaper profile and is capped with a bound rosewood fretboard equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays. The fretboard has a 12" radius for comfortable first-position chords and lead lines that won't fret out higher up the neck. The neck joins the body at the 22nd fret, ensuring easy access to its entire length. The guitar features 60s Burstbucker humbuckers for a classic voice with added power and top end. The 2 volume and 2 tone controls feature audio taper potentiometers and are hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors. Hardware includes a classic-style ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, and smooth-turning Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons.
