Gibson Les Paul Custom 1 Humbucker in Olive Drab VOS

The Custom 1 HB VOS in Olive Drab takes the Black Beauty blueprint and strips it down to a single pickup, then wraps the whole thing in a matte military green that has no business looking this good with gold hardware. It's part of the Greatest Hits Collection and it's a limited run, so when these are gone, they're gone.

The recipe underneath is pure Custom Shop. A weight relieved mahogany body with a plain maple top gives you the warmth and sustain you expect from a Custom, with enough top end snap to keep things articulate. The VOS treatment takes the shine down just enough to feel broken in without a scratch of relic wear anywhere on it.

The single Custombucker in the bridge is the whole point of this guitar. With no neck pickup in the way, the bridge position opens up in a way two pickup Customs never quite do. You get punchy mids, tight lows, and highs that cut without getting brittle. If you're the kind of player who shapes tone with your hands and your volume knob instead of a pickup selector, this layout will make immediate sense. One volume, one tone, no decisions to make mid song.

The neck is mahogany with a medium C carve, comfortable without leaning slim or baseball bat in either direction. The ebony board carries a 12 inch radius and mother of pearl block inlays, and the long tenon neck joint does what long tenons do: more sustain, more resonance, more of the guitar vibrating against you when you dig in. A Corian nut keeps tuning stable and consistent.

Hardware stays traditional where it counts. Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, and Kluson waffle back tuners keep the vintage character intact, all in gold that pops against the Olive Drab. Flip it over and you'll find an ebony stinger on the back of the headstock, a small detail that ties the whole look together.
