Alex Lifeson’s 1976 ES-355 was a big part of the Rush sound, and this Inspired by Gibson Custom reissue brings that guitar back as a working player’s instrument. It’s a five-ply semi-hollow with a maple centerblock, USA Gibson T-Type humbuckers, a mono Varitone with bypass, and a Maestro Vibrola, so it covers clean chime through thick, singing leads without losing the ES character. Finished in gloss Alpine White with gold hardware and Custom-level binding, it feels like a stage ES-355 that isn’t locked in a Custom Shop price.
