You will find the best feature of our MV-2 to be it's incredible sound quality. We focused on the sound, painstakingly matching our capsule to some of the greatest ground breaking microphones introduced in the late 1960's. A clear and controlled reproduction of string instruments, horns, cymbals and percussion is where the MV-2 shines. We double-dare you to compare our MV-2 to microphones in the $500 price range. You will find that this little gem holds it's own at a fraction of the cost to you. The MV-2 works great as a stand alone instrument microphone, or use them in pairs for true stereo representation. A small-diaphragm condensor microphone with three settings of roll off, and three dB pad settings. This allows you to capture a sources with drastic dynamic differences.  MV-2 incorporates a Cardiod pattern, capturing the source clearly while giving you natural, gradual off-axis rejection of the sounds you don't want.

MV-2 works best with the proper +48 Volts of phantom power supplied to it. Some mixing consoles with +48V supplied along multiple channels may not sufficiently power the MV-2 which could lead to unwanted noise. Be aware that some older supplies over time may have lost the ability to properly supply 100% power.

We have also found that for most cases the MV-2 sounds best set at –10dB with the 75Hz (Middle) High Pass Filter engaged. So put the buttons in the middle and have fun!

It is best to mute the channel before adjusting the MV-2’s switches
