This limited-edition guitar celebrates 60 years of Yamaha guitar production with only 65 instruments available in the USA. Made in Japan to the highest standards, this 60th Anniversary model features a flame maple top finished in Noble Black, designed to highlight the figure of the maple. The chambered body is designed to sculpt tone and reduce weight, with carbon reinforcement in the body and neck to improve vibration transfer. The guitar is equipped with a Goldo tremolo unit and Gotoh locking tuners for excellent tuning stability and expressive performance. The push/pull tone control functions as a Focus Switch, activating a passive boost that emulates overwound pickups with darker highs and enhanced mids and lows for more aggressive tone. The 5-way switching system introduces a subtle phase shift in positions 2 and 4, offering a fresh take on classic in-between sounds.
