With its deeper, tapered body design, shorter scale length and premium tonewood pairing, the Custom Legacy K10 LTD puts a distinctively rewarding new spin on the classic Dreadnought experience. Carefully selected sets of variegated, figured A-grade Hawaiian koa are paired with a premium Engelmann spruce top in a Dreadnought body with ⅛-inch greater depth at the heel and tail than our standard square-shoulder design. This custom, limited-edition build boasts a powerful voice distinguished by a rich midrange response, top-end sparkle and a powerful bass response. Inside, flat scalloped open-X bracing—a new variant of our traditional voicing architecture—allows the soundboard’s lower bout to move more dynamically, contributing greater warmth and low-end depth. A slim Taylor neck with a 24-7/8" scale length eases string tension, providing a more relaxed feel and making it easier to fret chords. Appointments include a polished Crelicam ebony fretboard and bridge, ebony binding, Artist fretboard inlays in mother-of-pearl and green abalone, and a Honduran rosewood and paua rosette. Outfitted with Gotoh 510 antique gold tuning machines with ebony buttons, the Custom Legacy K10 LTD comes in a deluxe hardshell case. To honor Taylor’s 52nd year of guitar making, production will be limited to 52 guitars. Each will feature a Legacy Collection back label hand-signed by co-founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug.
