The AZ22S2 features a roasted maple neck that is heat-treated to increase stability, durability, moisture resistance and tolerance of temperature changes. The jatoba fretboard produces a rich mid range with a crisp high end. Stainless steel frets offer excellent corrosion resistance, with a wide and tall fret-type that provides quick response and effortless articulation when playing chords and clear tone when playing single notes. The alder body delivers a well-balanced bright tone, enriched resonance and sustain. The guitar includes locking machine heads for accurate and stable tuning, and features the dyna-MIX9 switching system with a five-way pickup selector switch, volume knob, tone knob, and alter switch that provides multiple tonal options including a two hum tap mode.
