Faux tortoiseshell binding (body and fretboard) with black and white top purfling, mother-of-pearl small diamond fretboard inlays. LR Baggs Element VTC (volume, tone, compression), featuring an undersaddle pickup and all-discrete, Class A preamp that includes a soundhole-mounted volume and tone control.
Bob Taylor personally oversaw the development of these guitars, curating the design elements and drawing from his own personal history with them. The result is a collection with the look, feel and sound of true “legacy” guitars, but subtly reimagined with aesthetic refinements and performance enhancements introduced over the course of Bob’s tenure as Taylor’s guitar designer (before Andy Powers arrived).
