The PRS Silver Sky SE is Official
For all the hype that has been out there about the release of a Silver Sky SE, we are excited to announce that the day is finally here.
Launched in 2018 the USA built version of John Mayers signature PRS guitar, the Silver Sky, has been a true hit in the bolt on guitar world. With the popularity of the USA built version, it seemed like a logical choice for PRS and Mayer to team up and come out with an SE version. The SE line of guitars from PRS, to many, represents a series of guitars that look, feel and play like a much more expensive guitar and from what we have seen, the Silver Sky SE is no exception.
Touting a trio of “635JM” single coil pickups, that are controlled my a 5-way blade selector switch, the tonal versatility of this guitar will live up to the guitar that inspired the Silver Sky SE.
Its maple neck and rosewood board mimics that of its USA counterpart adorned with the famous PRS birds, but this fretboard has a 8.5” radius as opposed to the 7.25” radius of the USA Silver Sky, a welcomed change for many players.
Another great feature of the Silver Sky SE is the choices of colors you get. PRS make sure the SE line of Silver Skys has a color pallet all of their own, launching with 4 distinct colors: Dragon Fruit, Ever Green, Moon White and Stone Blue.
While the guitar is brand new to the scene, between its lineage and the quality we have seen from the SE line of guitars, the Silver Sky SE is bound to be a hit.
