The New Gibson G-45 Acoustics | A Real American Gibson for the Working Musician

A LOOK AT THE GIBSON G-45 ACOUSTIC GUITAR

What if I said you could get an American made Gibson acoustic with all the standard features of every other Gibson; Hide glue dovetail neck joints, nitro lacquer, hand-shaped necks and all made in the USA for under $1000?

Gibson is breaking down the price barriers for American made acoustic guitars with their new G-45 acoustics. The G-45 acoustic series has launched with two models, the Studio and the Standard. These guitars are hand-built in Bozeman, MT (just down the street from our showroom) and both models are constructed with a Walnut back and sides, Spruce top and a Fishman Sonitone pickup system. Both guitars sport a round shoulder dreadnought body size with non-scalloped X-bracing and an Advanced Response neck shape with 24.75" scale length. It is also worth mentioning, both of these guitars ship with hardshell cases!

THE GIBSON G-45 STUDIO

With a street price of only $999 this could possibly be the best value in an American made acoustic guitar on the market. The unique features of the G-45 studio include a Walnut fingerboard, a satin finish, and dot inlays. The G-45 Studio could easily become the next working man's standard acoustic.

THE GIBSON G-45 STANDARD

If you don't want to break the bank on a guitar, but still want an American made acoustic with a few more bells and whistles than the G-45 Studio, the G-45 Standard is the guitar for you. With a street price of only $1299, the Standard has a gloss top and snowflake inlays to add a bit more dressed up flavor. In addition, the fretboard on the Standard is made of Richlite, the same material used on many of Gibson's higher-end guitars.

THE BOTTOM LINE

It is a great day for Gibson Acoustic. With much of the range costing multiple thousands more, and the only "Gibson" alternative being Epiphone, it's amazing to see two American made Gibson Acoustics hitting the market at a price that is accessible to most working musicians.  We expect the G-45 series of guitars to be a best-seller, especially considering they not only are priced right but they sound great and with a built-in pickup are stage and studio ready from day one.
