A New Addition to the Studio Line, the Gibson Rosewood Studio J-45
Last year Gibson announced and released the Studio Series to their acoustic guitar lineup. What sets the Studio Series lineup apart from other Gibson acoustics is their slimmer body depth, slightly slimmer necks and (until now) their Walnut back and sides. The Studio series even features the G-45 acoustic, an American made Gibson acoustic under $1000!
Well, this year Gibson brought some exciting new models to the Studio series, and one of the new models is the Gibson Rosewood Studio J-45.
The new Gibson Studio Rosewood Series replaces the Walnut back and sides with a more traditional Rosewood back and sides while retaining the slimmer body depth and neck profile that have made the Studio line so popular. Gibson has taken these attributes and applied them to the famous J-45 creating a new "workhorse" that is ready for the stage or studio.
The Rosewood Studio J-45 is truly a working musicians guitar. The price is right and the slimmer body and neck make it super comfortable to play day in and day out. The equipped Fishman Sonitone pickup also makes it easy to get a great tone when plugging in live.
The Bottom Line | Gibson Rosewood Studio J-45
The 2020 Gibson Rosewood Studio J-45 is an amazing guitar at a working musician's price point. The "Studio" appointments make this guitar excellent for the stage or studio sessions while keeping the price at a level that working musicians can appreciate. If you have been thinking about a new acoustic, the Gibson Rosewood J-45 should be on your list.
