Our popular MV mic line is now available as a 3 pack, ideal for the start up home studio.
The MV-1 is a great large diaphragm condenser microphone, ideal for capturing vocals and instruments in studio settings. MV-2 is a small diaphragm condenser offering a more focused sound than the large diaphragm. At 4.6 oz the MV-2 makes a great drum overhead mic as well. The newest edition our MV-3 is modeled after the most popular broadcast microphone in the world and offers a great solution for many applications as our only dynamic microphone in the collection. MV-3 is not only a champion for singing or spoken word, it has also been used for multiple applications such as horns, all percussion, and works well to close mic guitar cabinets. All three microphones are well protected in this protective case at only $350.
Our MV-1 is a professional cardioid condenser microphone. It has an even cardioid polar pickup pattern, high output, low self-noise, and accurate reproduction of even the most subtle sound. The microphone is suitable especially for recording studios, broadcasting stations, stage performances, as well as home computer recording. The MV-1 although subtle also has a MAX SPL of 132dB making it a great tool for capturing louder instruments and amplifiers. MV-1 really comes to life when paired with a tube preamp. With an unprecedented price it is an excellent choice for recording all kinds of musical instruments. With an overall “musical” sound, the MV-1 delivers a higher quality sound then you might expect at its price point. Hands down a must have for you microphone collection.

You will find the best feature of our MV-2 to be it's incredible sound quality. We focused on the sound, painstakingly matching our capsule to some of the greatest ground breaking microphones introduced in the late 1960's. A clear and controlled reproduction of string instruments, horns, cymbals and percussion is where the MV-2 shines. We double-dare you to compare our MV-2 to microphones in the $500 price range. You will find that this little gem holds it's own at a fraction of the cost to you. The MV-2 works great as a stand alone instrument microphone, or use them in pairs for true stereo representation. A small-diaphragm condensor microphone with three settings of roll off, and three dB pad settings. This allows you to capture a sources with drastic dynamic differences. MV-2 incorporates a Cardiod pattern, capturing the source clearly while giving you natural, gradual off-axis rejection of the sounds you don't want.
MV-2 works best with the proper +48 Volts of phantom power supplied to it. Some mixing consoles with +48V supplied along multiple channels may not sufficiently power the MV-2 which could lead to unwanted noise. Be aware that some older supplies over time may have lost the ability to properly supply 100% power.
We have also found that for most cases the MV-2 sounds best set at –10dB with the 75Hz (Middle) High Pass Filter engaged. So put the buttons in the middle and have fun!
It is best to mute the channel before adjusting the MV-2’s switches
As a dynamic microphone, MV-3 is especially suited for broadcasting, webcasting and recording. It has a smooth and wide frequency response, and the pickup is clear and delicate. The cardioid polar pattern suppresses feedback and isolates the desired sound. It also includes 200Hz low cut and mid-high frequency boost switches, which can improve the sound clarity and presence. Dynamic microphones also record vocals very well, with a bit more of an intimate close up sound. A nice change from the typical large diaphragm condensers usually used. Microphones similar in design have also become the latest rage for live vocal microphones. MV-3 definitely looks the part.
MV-3 is made of a durable metal alloy, increasing durability. This coupled with a proprietary anti-shock device virtually eliminates all mechanical vibration and hand-held noise An integrated windscreen/pop filter is placed outside the grill, effectively filtering out peak noises.
